If you would like to determine paternity during pregnancy you can do that so by taking a prenatal paternity test. During conception the DNA profile of the baby is already established.

In order to obtain cells from the unborn child an OB-GYN will perform chorionic villi sampling (CVS) or an amniocentesis. Which method the OB-GYN will choose depends on how far the pregnancy is along.

Prenatal DNA Testing

Because both procedures are invasive, there are slight medical risks that the mother must discuss with her OB-GYN. You will have to find an OB-GYN who is willing to perform one of the 2 procedures describes above. The fee for the OB-GYN or the procedure is not included in our prices.

The parents can come to our facility where our medical assistant will take swab sample from the inside of both cheeks. This a painless procedure and will take no more than 10 minutes, A prenatal paternity test takes 5 working days to complete.
